Our story
Our story is a unique mix of memories, tradition, bold moves, and a desire for self-expression.
Our Roots
Ever since Tobi Osinowo, our founder, could choose his own clothing style, he fell in love with boutique streetwear style clothing. That is because street style offered him an opportunity to capture city vibes and express his creativity and personality through clothes.
However, after years of exploring the market, we realized that something was missing. No matter how much we searched for it, we couldn’t find a brand that represented our home country of Nigeria. But we felt Nigeria had a lot to offer in terms of style and artistic expression through clothing. So, it would be a shame for the world to miss out on it.
And that’s how the idea was born. We would create a new clothing brand that combined streetwear style with elements of Nigerian culture.
The Evolution
It took some time for things to be put in motion. However, we drew strength from the knowledge that our idea was powerful and that we would gift the world something special. So, we gathered a team, and together, they started an eCommerce brand called otỌto CLo.
Present Tense
Today, this streetwear clothing brand focuses on creating inspiring vintage and original clothing designs. What sets otỌto apart from other shops are the intriguing colors, patterns, and materials that are unique to Nigerian culture. For this reason, we can say otỌto has set in motion a new kind of fashion style that is a blend of urban and traditional, western and African.
